Thank God I'm Fabulous It's Friday once again. That means most of my employed friends are looking forward to the weekend.  I'm thankful that I don't have a 9-5 M-F j.o.b. which allows me to work to work on my own time. Thank you, Lord, that I have plenty of time to wrestle with all my demons these past few days and have decided to spend that time away from social media and totally unplug. I know some of my friends did worry though.. So I need to assure I'm still very much alive and that they need not worry.

One Meal A Day

Healthy Thanks to a health scare I had this Christmas Eve, and the documentaries I watch on Netflix recently, namely Sustainable , Forks Over Knives, In Defense of Food , and Cowspiracy , I have finally decided it IS time for me to do some major changes in my eating habits. Among other things, watching those documentaries opened my eyes to the fact that the meat/livestock industry has been a major contributor in polluting our air and waterways, and it is also one of the culprits in the deforestation of our remaining forest cover.  Hence, after careful research and reflection, I am going to follow Michael Pollan's advice to eat mostly plants. Starting January 15, I will eat VEGGIES ONLY    at least once per day. NO MEAT at all, and with very small portions of egg and cheese only.  Aside from salads, I will attempt to cook soups that will not easily spoil because I have no ref in my apartment.  Since I am also doing intermittent fasting, and I only eat 2...

Keep Asking Myself These

QUESTIONS I NEED TO ASK MYSELF THIS 2019: How much of life had I missed from under-planning or over-planning? How can I be kinder to myself ? How can I better say no to the noise to better SAY YES to the adventures I craved? How can I best reassess my life, my priorities, my view of the world, my place in the world, and my trajectory through the world? One of the perks of having an iPhone is having access to iTunes where I can listen to my favorite authors who also happen to have great podcasts. So far, these are my TOP 3 Favorites: 1) Debbie Millman 2) Tim Ferriss 3) Tony Robbins I haven't really had time to listen to many episodes yet but the ones I have listened to did me a lot of good so I have to remind myself to APPLY the principles and test the ideas that they have shared so I can reap the benefits for myself. The questions above are from the podcast about the introduction chapter of Tim Ferriss' latest book " TRIBE OF MENTORS " where...

Start the Year Right

2018 has been a really amazing year for me. I was able to travel to Bangkok, Batanes, Batangas, Mactan (Cebu) and Baguio City with very limited funds.  Actually, the only trip I personally paid for was the one I took to Baguio City last Oct 26-28. All my other trips were all-expense paid because they were either work-related or was sponsored. So before I event start stating my TOP 3 GOALS for 2019 I would like to look back on the Year that was and pat myself on the back for a job well-done. Aside from the trips I had, I  also meet and re-connected with some wonderful people along the way. Plus, I got to accomplish the following feats: Finished writing an MBA STRAMA (Strategic Management) Paper for a long-time client. Produced and represented a short film about children in a gold-mining community. Helped organize and led the marketing team of Rebelde Film Camp Year 5 Managed and organized a newer format of Rebelde Class (Batch 4) Coordinated ...
